Gone Girl – Gillian Flynn | Book Mini Review

Official Blurb

Who are you?
What have we done to each other?

These are the questions Nick Dunne finds himself asking on the morning of his fifth wedding anniversary, when his wife Amy suddenly disappears. The police suspect Nick. Amy’s friends reveal that she was afraid of him, that she kept secrets from him. He swears it isn’t true. A police examination of his computer shows strange searches. He says they weren’t made by him. And then there are the persistent calls on his mobile phone. So what really did happen to Nick’s beautiful wife?

My view

Wow, wow, wow from a slow start to a compulsive gripping read. At one point of the book (readers will know when) I had to shut the book and give myself a little while to contemplate what had just happened. Only when I recovered could I pick it up again.

I have recommended this book to sooo many people, particularly if you don’t read very much. I tend to figure out plots quite easily but this took me completely by surprise.

A twisted plot. Who do we trust? I am not even dure by the end – a fabulous read.
