A long long time ago – a lifetime away.

In someone’s life, there are many defining factors that shape who you are. Factors can be positive or negative, people, events, experiences or health to name just a few.

Approaching 50 (have I mentioned that before?) I do wonder what the key factors have been in my life so far? Obviously besides my wonderful family, who mean everything to me and are a constant, I guess I can split my life into three very distinctive chunks.

2018 Round Up

I hope that you are well and are looking forward to the New Year. Each year we write one of those ‘dreadful’ round robins to our friends and family, here is an edited version.

2018 has been a pretty defining year for us with some huge changes. The major ones being Charlie (previously known as Charlotte) studying and subsequently passing her A-Levels then leaving for University and Terry’s mum, Sheila, passing away in August. She is sadly missed.

As predicted the first 10% was a lot easier to accomplish than the next, particularly when 2018 has been a disaster on the challenge front as well as the blogging front.

The ‘Get Your Guide’ Harry Potter Walking Tour

Go on an organised tour of a town or city (#80) with Dominic (#3)

Crossing off two challenges at once is a great feeling but to do three in a day is quite amazing.

Two challenges were planned and one was a complete surprise (more about that in another blog).

I rarely spend any length of time with Dominic one of my sons. For no other reason than I am either at poolside with his brother (a keen swimmer) or I am busy with work, daughter, blogging etc. His life is just as busy. We rarely have a completely free day so when one came up I decided to make the most of it.

Dal Nanno – Restaurant Review

Dal Nanno, Crawley Down | Restaurant Review

Tucked away on a route through the village of Crawley Down is a little Italian restaurant called Dal Nanno (By Grandfather). Opened in 2013, I have been hearing for ages how good it is so to celebrate our daughter finishing her A-Levels we thought we would give it a go.

The restaurant is cosy, and extremely popular so the tables are cheek by jowl and instead of being atmospheric it is fairly noisy. However saying that, it is tastefully decorated and oozes Italian charm.

My 100 Happy Days – Days 81-100

That’s it, it is all done, and I must admit that the 100 days went by incredibly quickly. Almost tempted to carry on, however there are lots of other challenges I want to sink my teeth into.

If YOU have featured in one of my happy days, I truly thank you. I thank you for being there and I thank you for being part of my life.

I have truly loved the 100Happy Days challenge, it has been lovely finding something joyful in the mundane.
